Bank Patient Service Advisor – Glasgow Hospital
Part time, £13.10 per hour
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday, 8:00–21:00
Friday, 8:00–18:00
Weekend availability as required
About the Role
As a Patient Service Advisor at our Glasgow Hospital you will support patients, consultants and visitors by providing high‑quality customer service, managing enquiries, and ensuring efficient hospital operations. You will be a confident and customer‑focused communicator, using IT and data skills to deliver accurate and timely information.
Responsibilities
* Handle customer enquiries via telephone, email and face‑to‑face, providing information about hospital services and treatments
* Enter and log enquiries in the hospital CRM, managing the customer journey
* Book appointments and manage clinic schedules, ensuring full adherence to GDPR
* Coordinate with consultants, medical secretaries and other staff to provide seamless patient services
* Welcome visitors, transfer clinic lists to the Patient Information Management System (PIMS) and verify patient details to avoid duplicates
* Monitor departmental email inboxes and allocate clinic rooms
* Check patients in and book future appointments by phone and at the desk
Qualifications
* Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
* Proven customer‑service experience, preferably in an administrative or clinical environment
* Good IT literacy and keyboard skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
