About you
* Hold a CIPP qualification or equivalent
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading payroll functions in a multi‑site environment
* Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and care sector payroll complexities
* Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
* Proven leadership and communication capabilities
* Demonstrate high levels of confidentiality and professionalism
What you'll do
* Lead and develop the payroll team across all care sites to ensure operational excellence
* Oversee weekly, four‑weekly, and monthly payroll processing, including complex pay elements
* Ensure full compliance with UK legislation, HMRC requirements, and GDPR standards
* Collaborate with HR, finance, and operational teams to optimise payroll and scheduling systems
* Drive process improvements, system upgrades, and automation initiatives to boost efficiency
* Provide reports and insights to senior leadership on payroll trends and costs
