My valued client is seeking a Senior Training & Competency Facilitator for their prestigious mining project in North Yorkshire
* Conduct Training needs analysis in collaboration with all stakeholders that develop and deliver competence.
* Develop Competence maps for all workstreams and levels to define the required standards and maintain the Competence Management System
* Deliver training programs where competent to do so and arrange with third party providers where required.
* Schedule training programs that meet operational delivery plans and have minimum impact on operating performance
* Ensure that training aligns with the company Safety Program and conducts Training Audits at project site, offices and in the workplace.
* Design, revise and assist with the administration and auditing of training programs
* Support and 3rd party Training & Competency Facilitators on behalf of the Training & Competency Manager.
* Advise senior management on matters relating to training
* Maintain confidentiality with respect to the company and client information
Ideally Required: Certificate in Training and or Assessing
Preferred: MPQC Assessors Qualification
The ideal candidate will have around 3 years’ experience in a Training delivery capacity. Candidates with experience in mining, tunnelling or civil engineering with delivering training experience would be at a distinct advantage
Experience in the development and delivery of health and safety training programs and procedures.
Computer Skills - good IT skills required in MS Office, SharePoint, email etc
Knowledge Required
* Knowledge of mining / heavy industry and methods applicable to health and safety standards
* Statistical analysis and evaluation skills
* Train-the-trainer skills and teaching ability
* Group facilitation skills
* Skilled and competent in auditing
* Organisation, planning and scheduling abilities
* Knowledge of applicable legislation, standards, and guidelines pertaining to Mining Regulations, and clients
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation, both orally and in writing, including formal reports
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a range of different disciplines
* Ability to source and understand evidence-based content material
Role is office and site based Mon - Friday 08.30 - 17.30

Salary circa £45-47k Dependant on Experience. In addition there is a company bonus scheme.
Accommodation can be provided for applicants whose home address is some distance from the site whilst on shift only (hols and not on shift will be required to travel home or make own arrangements
Canteen when on duty (small charge for meals)
33 days holiday (25 hols and 8 Bank Holidays).
Candidate will need to be subject to a D&A Screen and Medical and also physically fit to attend site as some training will be undertaken in a mining environment and underground at times and must be competent and happy working in an underground environment
