School Site Assistant / Caretaker required in the Wolverhampton area. Role involves split shifts: mornings and afternoons on an ongoing basis.
Details
Shifts: Monday - Friday, 37 hours a week. Split shifts: 6.45am-10.15am and 2.30pm-6.30pm. Pay: £13.00 per hour. Weeks: Immediate Start, ongoing.
Responsibilities
* Provide portering services, including setting up classrooms and event spaces, moving furniture, and assisting with deliveries.
* Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs to buildings, fixtures, plumbing and equipment.
* Liaising with contractors and escorting them around the site.
* Ensuring the security of the school\'s premises and grounds, locking at the appropriate times, closing of windows and setting of alarms. Unlocking and locking up the school site as well as individual departments. Key holding responsible.
* Assisting with lettings, bookings, set up of equipment and grounds supervision of evening/weekend meetings and after school activities.
* Maintain outdoor areas to ensure a safe and tidy school environment - litter picking, grounds maintenance, etc.
* Empty bins / rubbish removal.
* Report any health and safety issues/ concerns to the site manager.
About You
* Experience in general maintenance, caretaking, or site support work.
* Good understanding of COSHH awareness and Health and Safety knowledge.
* Holds an ENHANCED Child DBS in date within the last 12 months, or an ENHANCED DBS on the update service.
* Must have safeguarding training - BlueArrow can provide this if required.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
