Your Role
Join a new team delivering the Future State Architecture for payment processing. We aim to introduce a lean and reusable payment processing engine that will form the foundation of next‑generation payment capabilities. This role involves leveraging existing software assets in an inner‑sourcing model, focusing on reuse and enhancement to enable rapid delivery of new product features at low cost and high quality.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engineering expertise for next‑generation payment processing architecture.
* Develop high‑quality, resilient, and scalable software solutions.
* Lead by example in coding standards, testing, and quality assurance.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement new capabilities.
* Drive modernization and cloud adoption for payment systems.
* Set benchmarks for software delivery and technical excellence.
* Act as a subject matter expert, providing solutions to complex technical challenges.
* Ensure alignment with corporate technology strategy and best practices.
* Partner with DevOps for automated infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security compliance.
* Conduct feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, and system reviews.
* Provide architecture guidance and ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.
Qualifications
* 15+ years of experience in API engineering and architecture.
* Strong expertise in API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
* Proficiency in Java; experience with Go and Rust preferred.
* Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, service mesh.
* Expertise in Kafka, observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus), and cloud/DevOps.
* Solid knowledge of Linux, networking, storage, and SQL; familiarity with distributed databases.
* Experience in financial services/payments domain is a plus.
* Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
