Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff and visitors on site. The role involves applying thorough access control procedures, carrying out site inductions, planned & ad‑hoc site patrols and other duties as determined by the Assignment Instructions. In the event of an emergency the officer will follow prescribed escalation/communication procedures with Site Management, Corps colleagues and emergency services.
Working Hours
Average 42.5 hours per week covering nights. Shifts: 4 on, 4 off 1830‑0630.

Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus.
* Valid SIA Front‑Line License – essential.
* Valid SIA CCTV License – desirable.
* Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective relationships at all levels.
* Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel).
* Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards.
Responsibilities
* Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular patrols and recording these as per Corps and Client requirements.
* Ensure all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out.
* Record the entry and exit of deliveries while on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
* Ensure patrols are carried out to correct standards.
* Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out‑of‑hours security provision if applicable.
* Comply with site waste management procedures.
* Complete documents as required, including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and site‑specific reports.
* Familiarise yourself with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager or client personnel on changes or recommendations to improve.
* Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal such that your skills are up to date, particularly first aid and fire marshal training in accordance with legislative guidelines.
* Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Display your SIA licence at all times.
* Perform ad‑hoc duties as directed.
