Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £85 – £105 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
GSL Education are seeking caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistants to work within nursery and reception settings across Newcastle upon Tyne. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young children during their early stages of learning and development.
The Role:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging early years activities in line with the EYFS framework.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to support children’s learning and development.
* Promote social, emotional, and communication skills through play-based learning.
* Assist with observations, assessments, and learning journals.
* Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working in an early years or nursery setting.
* Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Early Years or Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable).
* A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
* A strong understanding of safeguarding and child development.
