Rutherford Briant are in the process of recruiting for a bookkeeper to join a family run, close knit business going through sustained growth, within the Essex area. This is a great opportunity for someone with prior experience to work closely with the onsite Finance Manager, supporting with day-to-day tasks and playing a key part in a family run business. Our client is offering a competitive salary up to £34,000 (full time equivalent), flexible working, 25 days holiday + bank holidays and onsite parking.
Responsibilities:
As a Bookkeeper, you will…
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Sage
* Process supplier invoices
* Process sales invoices
* Prepare and process expenses
* Reconcile credit card statements
* Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
* Assist in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Requirements:
As a Bookkeeper, you will need…
* Minimum 3 years' experience within finance
* Well versed in accounting software & excel
* Key attention to detail.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
