Job Description
A well-established investment management firm with a headcount of around 30, offering bespoke wealth management services. The business is partner-owned and prides itself on its client-centric culture, combining the investment standards of a larger institution with a personalised approach.
The firm has recently launched a wealth planning division to provide holistic pre- and post-retirement advice. Areas of specialism include lifetime allowance planning, tax-efficient retirement strategies, and estate planning. 4 days a week in the office.
KEY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To provide high-quality paraplanning support to the Head of Wealth Planning and the wider Wealth Planning team.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Summary:
* Analyse client information to formulate advice aligned with client objectives.
* Apply cashflow modelling tools extensively.
* Prepare suitability/recommendation reports.
* Produce fund switch and withdrawal letters, along with required research and documentation.
* Interpret and utilise information from clients and providers using industry tools.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Liaise with clients to gather information and arrange meetings.
* Contact third parties/providers to resolve technical queries.
* Conduct research to support advisers as required.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Core Role Requirements:
* Strong technical knowledge in financial planning, pensions, and investments, ideally with experience in complex client cases.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial services.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Familiarity with tools such as Voyant and FE Analytics.
* Proactive, adaptable, and responsive to feedback.
* Ambitious and committed to personal development.
* Strong financial and mathematical literacy.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum: Chartered Financial Planner (or equivalent), or actively working towards it.
