Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated special educational needs teaching assistant for a SEND school in the Burnley area. The school provides education for children aged 4 to 17 with various needs, including autism, ADHD, MLD, complex needs, Down syndrome, and challenging behaviors. Located on the outskirts of Burnley, the school offers ample on-site parking, and candidates should have access to a car due to limited public transport options.
The role involves working on a 1:1 and small group basis with children with additional needs. Personal care may be required occasionally. The position is expected to start in September 2025, with a possibility of a pre-start meeting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with additional learning needs and possess a calm, patient demeanor. Working hours are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate starting at £89 per day. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain a fully enhanced DBS check on the update service.
