We are looking for an Electrical Engineer in Johnson Matthey's Graduate Engineering Programme (GEP) as part of the Group Engineering function. The GEP supports the key capabilities of our business and the rapid professional progression of future engineers. Graduates on the GEP will undergo technical and leadership development while completing high priority business projects. They will be assigned a mentor to support progress towards Chartered Engineer status.
Role
As an Electrical Graduate Engineer, you’ll contribute to JM’s mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement engineered solutions for production improving safety, sustainability performance, and reliability
* Commission new plant equipment and develop/deliver training for operators
* Mechanical and maintenance optimisation
* Electrical AC Power Systems, Motors and Drives, Control Instrumentation and Grounding systems
* Implement standardized JM processes to drive continuous improvement toward goals
* Energy, water, waste and emission monitoring to drive sustainability opportunities
Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Minimum 2.1)
* Geographically flexible and open to relocation to JM sites for three placements during the programme; relocation assistance provided where applicable
* Demonstrated leadership potential; adaptable, strives for excellence with a positive attitude
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
