As an Electrical Technician, you’ll play a key role in assembling and integrating electrical systems into specialist equipment. The Electrical Technician will work from detailed drawings and schematics, ensuring every panel and wiring assembly meets strict quality standards. This Electrical Technician position suits someone who takes pride in precision work and enjoys being part of a team delivering technically challenging builds.
Key responsibilities of the Electrical Technician:
Assemble and wire electrical systems from detailed electrical drawings and circuit diagrams
Install and integrate electrical panels into complex machinery
Perform electrical tests and safety checks, maintaining accurate build and test records
Support continuous improvement by identifying issues and helping standardise best practice
Essential skills for the Electrical Technician:
Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience in electrical assembly
At least 2 years’ hands-on experience with panel board population and electro-mechanical wiring
Confidence reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Experience with functional testing and electrical fault-finding
Desirable experience for the Electrical Technician:
IPC certifications
Experience working with a range of voltage systems and safe isolation procedures
