Job Title
Senior Development Control Engineer
Responsibilities
* Develop technical solutions, manage design and construction stages, and ensure projects meet statutory requirements, Council standards, and safety regulations.
* Review and approve designs under Sections 38 and 278.
* Coordinate across engineering disciplines, ensuring seamless project delivery.
* Oversee consultants and junior staff, providing guidance and supervision.
* Ensure compliance with DMRB, Manual for Streets, TSRGD, and other relevant standards.
* Liaise with stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
Requirements
* Proven experience in UK highway design and maintenance.
* Strong knowledge of relevant design standards and highway adoption processes.
* Experience with surface water drainage and SuDS principles.
* Ability to lead projects, supervise staff, and manage multiple workstreams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
