About the Role
Our client are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Temporary Purchasing Assistant to support our team at theirTamworth site. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced procurement environment.
Location: Tamworth
Working Hours: 37 hours/week
1. Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:00 (1-hour unpaid break)
2. Friday: 08:30–16:00 (30-minute unpaid break)
3. Pay: £12.84 per hour
Key Responsibilities
4. Raise and expedite purchase orders for expense items according to business needs and targets.
5. Track inventory orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
6. Ensure supplier compliance with SLA agreements for order acknowledgements, lead times, and delivery schedules.
7. Maintain accurate supplier and part information, including pricing and contact details.
8. Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing Team.
9. Liaise with external transport providers to coordinate inbound material deliveries.
10. Assist with annual stock takes as required.
What We’re Looking For
11. Previous experience in a purchasing, supply chain, or administrative role (preferred).
12. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
13. Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
14. Familiarity with ERP systems such as DAX is an advantage.
15. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
