As a newly qualified nurse at HC-One, you will be supported to grow in your career with our Gold Standard Nursing Preceptorship Programme, helping you to build on your existing skillset while practicing in a nurse-led environment. You will make a difference to our residents at a time of their life when they may feel the most vulnerable, and they will look to you to guide and support them in life-changing decisions, which is a humbling and rewarding part of the role.
You will be a Registered Nurse with a valid Pin number and will understand your commitment to your profession through the standards of practice set by the NMC. You will have a passion to mentor and share your knowledge with colleagues, and provide support as a practice supervisor and assessor to students. You will understand the importance of effective communication, both verbally and written, and role model professional behaviors. You will advocate and deliver a person-centred approach to care for residents and their families. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility; therefore, you should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know what actions to take if concerns arise. Attendance at safeguarding training and the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately are essential.
At HC-One, kindness is more than a word—it's a way of life. We believe caring for people means caring about what matters most to them, supporting them to live their best lives. We embody five key qualities—curious, compassionate, creative, courageous, and dependable—as part of the HC-One Way.

We are enhancing our support for residents through digital care planning, streamlining care, improving outcomes, and increasing efficiency. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to inclusive working practices.
We are dedicated to your personal and professional development, offering clear career pathways, continuous professional development, and postgraduate programmes. HC-One is proud to offer a Gold Standard Nursing Preceptorship Programme, designed for newly qualified nurses, aligned with the NHS Gold Standard Framework, to support your confidence and competence in caring for residents.
