So, if your experience doesn't quite match the specification, we'd still really love to hear from youWhat you'll be doingIn this role, you'll:Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets (hardware and software), including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.Inventory & Tracking: Develop and implement procedures to track and analyse all IT assets using specialised tools, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Compliance: Ensure adherence to vendor contracts and software license agreements, and manage audits effectively.Procurement Strategy: Support the development of procurement strategies to optimise technology spending across the IT department and wider organisation.Reporting: Generate and provide management reports and metrics on asset inventory, performance, budget considerations, and risks.Policy & Process Development: Establish, maintain, and enforce asset management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure quality control.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to align asset management with business objectives and drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.Control & Monitoring: Develop, implement, and maintain effective principles and policies for operating and monitoring asset management controls.CMDB Adoption: Promote the adoption of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) across departments as the single source of truth for IT assets.Service Component Management: Manage service components to meet business needs and performance targets.Data Integrity & Assurance: Implement controls and checks to ensure data accuracy, adherence to processes, and compliance with policies.Leadership & Guidance: Provide guidance to CMDB users, including suppliers, to maintain data quality and accuracy.Cost Optimisation: Identify opportunities for cost savings, enabling better resource allocation and budget planning.The role is for you ifWe're looking for experience in:Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse technology trends and asset performance to inform strategic decision-making.Organisational & Communication Skills: Excellent at organising information and communicating effectively with teams and senior management.Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial management, with the ability to support budgeting and forecasting for IT assets.Technical Proficiency: Experienced in IT Asset Management software and tools, with a strong grasp of ITIL standards and industry best practices across the asset lifecycle.Governance, Controls & Policies: Proven track record in implementing and utilising asset management frameworks, policies, and controls to minimise risk, reduce costs, and mitigate vulnerabilities.Experience / Qualifications:Qualifications, certifications and / or in depth experience in the following areas: IT Service Management—ITIL, ITSMF etc. Significant experience of Asset Management Tools i.e. Jira Service Management Experience of creating policies and controls to support the management of Assets and minimise risk to an organisationSignificant experience of using data / analytics to make / present informed decisions to support the strategic direction of the business (financials / product / lifecycle management)Should have strong experience in service asset configuration managementDFS BenefitsPotential Annual Bonus Scheme: Contribute to our success and get rewarded for itGrowth and Training: Learn new skills and develop your career with usLeave: Enjoy a great holiday allowance, with the option to buy 5 extra days.
