Country Manager – Technology Distribution (Germany)

Reports to: Sales Director

Location: Germany, with travel across the EU and UK

The Opportunity

The business is now seeking a commercially minded Country Manager to drive its continued growth in the German market. This is a strategic and operational leadership role that will suit someone with experience scaling sales teams, developing go-to-market strategies, and building strong local partnerships with both customers and vendors.

You will lead from the front-shaping strategy, transforming culture, and elevating performance-while also embedding a commercially disciplined and consultative approach to enterprise sales.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure existing revenue streams continue to perform during growth and transition phases
2. Transition the local operation into a P&L accountable business over time
3. Understand local market dynamics and define a 2-year strategic plan for the region
4. Implement a delivery roadmap aligned to growth and profitability goals
5. Build a structured, performance-led sales environment based on best practice
6. Develop new and existing vendor relationships in alignment with business objectives
7. Lead local hiring strategy, onboarding, enablement, and development for commercial teams
8. Work cross-functionally with regional and international experts to grow capability

Ideal Profile

9. Proven experience leading and growing sales or commercial teams
10. A clear understanding of value-based selling in B2B or enterprise technology
11. Commercially astute, able to influence strategy and business performance
12. Experience driving change, improving sales discipline, and introducing structure
13. Ability to build and maintain vendor and customer relationships at a senior level
14. Resilient and hands-on leadership style with strong interpersonal skills
15. Experience navigating matrixed or international organisations

Requirements

21. Willingness to travel between Germany, UK, and other European offices
22. Strong communicator with influencing and stakeholder management skills
23. Demonstrated ability to improve business performance and drive growth
24. Experience in sales enablement, training, or process implementation
25. Self-starter with a collaborative, proactive approach
26. Leadership experience in a commercial, sales, or distribution function

29. Experience in the IT distribution or technology sector
