Senior Service Designer Remote Initial 3 Month Contract £450 - £500 BPSS Outside IR35 We are seeking a highly skilled Service Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and enhancing services, ensuring they meet user needs and align with business goals. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies, as well as experience in delivering services that are efficient, effective, and enjoyable for users. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with stakeholders to identify user needs and service requirements. - Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions. - Create service blueprints, user journey maps, and prototypes to visualise service delivery processes. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure service designs are feasible and aligned with business objectives. - Develop and maintain design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency across services. - Facilitate workshops and design sessions to engage stakeholders and gather feedback on service concepts. - Continuously iterate on service designs based on user feedback and performance data. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Service Designer or in a similar role. - Strong understanding of Government Digital Service (GDS) principles and frameworks. - Proficiency in user research methods and techniques. - Experience in creating user journey maps, service blueprints, and prototypes. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. - Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesise complex information into clear design solutions. - Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and agile project management.
