Role Description
The Retail Sales Supervisor is a part‑time, on‑site role based in Gloucester. This position oversees day‑to‑day store operations, including supervising sales associates, ensuring visual merchandising and stock levels meet brand standards, and driving retail sales performance. The role focuses on coaching the team to achieve targets, promoting an engaging, customer‑centric environment, and supporting customer service on the shop floor. It also handles escalated issues and ensures a consistently positive experience for every visitor. Additional responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, supporting local marketing initiatives, maintaining store procedures and compliance, collaborating with management on continuous improvement, and handling store closing and opening procedures.
Qualifications
* Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, coaching, and performance monitoring.
* Excellent communication abilities for interacting with customers, team members, and management.
* Proven retail sales experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
* Customer service and customer satisfaction skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming, solution‑oriented environment.
* Experience in fashion, sportswear, or related retail sectors is highly beneficial.
* Comfort with basic sales reporting, POS systems, and stock control processes.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and peak trading periods which will include the rugby season.
* Prior experience in a supervisory or senior sales role in a retail setting is preferred.
