Overview
Acorn Education Trust is looking for a dedicated and experienced IT Technician to join our team and provide IT infrastructure support across Wiltshire-based schools. This is a full-time role (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year), starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will report to the Trust Head of IT and will be primarily based at one education hub in the Warminster, Trowbridge or near Amesbury areas. Travel between sites is required, so a driving license is essential. The role will predominantly be based at Avon Valley Academy Secondary School in Durrington.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to students and staff across Primary school settings.
* Work independently on Level 1 and Level 2 issues and escalate Level 3 issues to Senior Technicians.
* Maintain the integrity and security of IT systems.
* Support diagnostics, troubleshooting and implement solutions to improve IT equipment usage and skills.
Qualifications and Skills
* Outstanding all-round knowledge of IT hardware and software (an appropriate IT qualification is desirable).
* Over three years of IT experience.
* Full and clean driving license.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work with pupils and staff with varying IT expertise (previous client-facing experience is advantageous).
* Self-motivated, dedicated and consistent; strong team player who can use initiative; positive and flexible attitude.
* Ability to handle new challenging situations; proven leadership skills (advantageous).
