We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Procurement/Operations Controller.
Role Overview: As a Procurement/Operations Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our factory and office. This role is ideal for a recently qualified graduate or student who has completed further education with strong grades in mathematics and science.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement:
* Procure materials, equipment, and services to meet factory and office needs.
* Manage purchase orders, supplier communications, and delivery tracking.
* Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships.
* Coordinate with Production and the General Manager to respond to material requests promptly.
* Ensure stock levels are optimised to fulfil production and future job requirements.
* Collaborate with designers and managers to plan future stock needs for customer orders.
* Resolve quality issues with suppliers and ensure incoming delivery documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Operations:
* Prepare paperwork and electronic cutting data for the saw using Mitek cutting sheets (Hundegger) and associated production information.
* Maintain Hundegger Cambium software on both PC and saw, including troubleshooting any issues.
* Manage paperwork for Forklift Truck (FLT) checks, enter data into Excel, and notify the General Manager of any issues.
* Monitor all saws for compliance and Health & Safety (H&S) to ensure they are in working order.
Qualifications:
* Recently qualified graduate or student with strong grades in mathematics and science.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic software troubleshooting.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
