We’re looking for a passionate and proactive colleague to join the Young People’s Service as a Resilience Worker. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your experience supporting young people and make a meaningful impact on their lives.
Your new role
You’ll work directly with young people affected by drug and alcohol use, delivering early intervention, harm reduction, and resilience-building support. You’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary teammitted to empowering young people to make positive choices and lead safe, healthy lives.
1. Deliver targeted interventions around drug and alcohol awareness.
2. Hold a caseload of young people and provide 1-to-1 support.
3. Plan and run group work programmes.
4. Conduct screening, assessment, and care planning.
5. Provide psychosocial interventions and post-treatment support.
6. Work closely with partner agencies (, youth justice, schools, social care).
7. Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns.
8. Promotemunity involvement and advocacy.
9. Empower young people to lead safe, healthy, and purposeful lives.
What you'll need to succeed
10. Experience working with young people.
11. Understanding of substance misuse and related issues.
12. Knowledge of safeguarding frameworks (, Fraserpetence).
13. Ability to work in a person-centred, strengths-based way.
14. Strongmunication and collaboration skills.
