Job Description
I'm working with a long-standing client to recruit a Group Management Accountant for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified accountant or finalist (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) to gain international exposure and play a key role in supporting finance operations across multiple European entities.
The role sits within a collaborative group finance team and will focus on month-end processes, salary and VAT processing, reconciliations, and audit support across non-branch international entities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide finance support across international entities (Hungary, Portugal, Italy, Germany).
* Process monthly salaries and payment requests.
* Month-end processing and GL journal entries for non-branch entities.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns.
* Review employee expenses and support cashflow forecasting.
* Reconcile balance sheet control accounts, with a focus on intercompany transactions.
* Assist with external audit preparation and queries.
Experience & Skills Required:
* Newly qualified or finalist (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
* Strong experience in management accounts and reconciliations.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
* Experience with foreign currency is helpful, but international country experience is not essential.
* Passion for continuous process improvement.
