We're supporting one of our clients in finding a Principal Thermal System Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* Take charge of designing and improving Vehicle Thermal Management Systems using computer modelling or testing on benches.
* Create, adjust, and confirm thermal controls and software using advanced simulation capabilities.
* Develop methods to make Thermal Systems more energy-efficient.
* Lead and oversee tests for new car cooling systems like heat pumps, while also analyzing their thermodynamics in detail.
* Evaluate how much more efficient vehicles become, like saving electric power or fuel, using precise measurements.
Required:
* Possess strong communication abilities, adept at articulating technical concepts to team members with varying levels of expertise, both in written and verbal form.
* Display exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with individuals at all levels within the team, while valuing the contributions of each member regardless of their position.
* Need to be able to carry out the data analysis from these tests, reporting, recommendations, and performance improvements.
* Have physical test benching experience, not just simulations.
Need:
* The role carries a wider breadth, with requirements in modelling and system development. Numerical tool expertise to design and develop the system is needed. A nice to have would be the ability to build models, although this is not a necessity.
Note: It will be a direct hire from our client not through us.
