Take home more without sacrificing your evenings or weekends.
Many people who move for higher pay end up overworked, but here your time stays yours. You'll keep your workload manageable, protect your family time and still earn well above the market average.
"Everybody is on track for Chartership"
a Surveyor working there told us.
That's because chartership support is intentional and structured, giving you the confidence and experience to get qualified at your pace without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. If you do want to get it done quickly, there's even a Training Director to help you.
The level of flexibility means you can come in late or leave early without guilt and there's no micromanagement, no need to tell someone why you're not in the office today or why you need to leave early.
There are no personal fee targets, so you won't be under constant pressure to chase billables. Instead, you'll benefit from a very generous bonus scheme that rewards overall success and sometimes recognition goes beyond money - like an extra day holiday or a family meal.
You'll also get variety, moving between project work, dilapidations and different sectors. This keeps things engaging and will help broaden your skill set.
It's two preferred days in the office, but there are no mandatory office days. Surveyors of all levels are involved in events, socials and recognition, making for an inclusive and supportive environment.
You'll have opportunities to do the following (but not pigeon holed into one thing):
* Deliver complex commercial building surveying and consultancy commissions, with project values from £1m to £6m+
* Oversee landlord & tenant advice, lease event-work, negotiations, dilapidations schedules, and liability assessments
* Lead and mentor junior staff (including APC candidates), ensuring technical consistency, quality of report writing, presentation, and client deliverables
* Support business development: participate in wins, identify fee-earners, help grow the commercial survey pipeline in London
What you'll need:
* At least 5 years' experience in commercial building surveying or consultancy, covering areas like project delivery, contract administration, technical due diligence and dilapidations.
* Strong communication skills to manage client relationships, negotiate, and present to non-technical stakeholders.
* A solid technical foundation in building pathology, compliance with Building Regulations, health & safety, and statutory obligations. Sustainable/ESG awareness is a plus.
About the company:
You'll be working with a team of built environment specialists who bring sustainable principles and commercial focus to every project. They've created a place where good work is recognised, good people progress, and personal growth is taken seriously. Beyond the salary, you'll have access to pension contributions, life cover, and private medical insurance.
