Interim Financial Controller opportunity (12 months FTC) offering responsibility for managing a large group division, overseeing a team and supporting on acquisitions and special projects.

A leading Business Services group with operations across the UK and in several International regions. The group is private equity owned and growing continually both organically and through acquisition.
The Opportunity
An exciting new opportunity has become available for a 12 month maternity cover within the Group Finance Department, this position would suit a driven, ambitious and enthusiastic individual. Joining as a Divisional Financial Controller you will report to the Group FD and be fully involved in the financial management of a growing division.
Responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing day to day accounting operations for a growing division
* Maintaining a strong financial control environment
* Leading and developing a small finance team
* Oversight of the preparation of monthly management accounts (P&L, BS, CF vs budget key KPIs)
* Lead preparation of monthly board packs
* Working with the FP&A team to understand variances to budget and flag where there are overspend
* Business partnering with MDs and work with them to improve reporting (additional dimensions etc)
* Leading preparation of 13 week cashflow forecasting on a weekly basis
* Leading preparation of weekly and monthly report to the PE house
* Leading year end audit and statutory accounts production
* Constant review of financial processes and system to ensure continuous improvement and efficiency
* Oversea the preparation of the Quarterly VAT returns & assist with other tax processes (in depth tax knowledge is not a requirement)
* Provide ad hoc support to the CFO and Group FD

The Person:
You will be a senior finance professional able to meet the following criteria:
* Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with at least 3 - 4 years post qualification experience
* Experience in a financial management role within industry
* Experience of improving systems and processes
* Team management skills and experience
* PE experience would be advantageous
