Due to contract wins, this prestigious and forward-thinking Legionella / Water Treatment company is actively seeking a high calibre and multi-skilled Water Treatment Engineer to work for them in or around the Guildford area. The successful candidate will hold extensive experience working for a water treatment company undertaking a range of water treatment duties including cooling tower and closed system analysis. Applications will be considered from West London, Croydon, Woking, Crawley, and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications & Experience
* Applicants will come from a good chemical and technical background, ideally with a City & Guilds qualification.
* Experience working within the water treatment/hygiene sectors as a water treatment engineer.
* Good working knowledge of the Health & Safety regulations and the water treatment industry.
* Knowledge and experience carrying out cleaning/chlorination and maintenance on both hot and cold-water systems, steam boilers and cooling towers.
* Will ideally have previous experience servicing chemical dosing equipment and water softeners.
* Possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
* Will have proficient IT skills, including MS office.
Role
* Undertaking the analysis of cooling tower and steam boiler water.
* Dosing of water systems.
* Performing routine sampling, temperature checks, monitoring air and water systems.
* Refurbishments, cleaning and disinfections, cooling towers, water systems, tank cleans etc.
* Must comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
* Maintenance and servicing of TMV’s, showerheads.
* Maintain professional relationship with clients.
* Assisting with evaporative cooling system cleaning.
* Remedial works relating to water treatment/hygiene.
