Contract: Permanent – 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 08:30 to 17:00
Job description
Learning Curve Group (LCG) is a growing training organisation that recently expanded through the acquisition of MPCT, bringing the UK military academies to a total of 34 across England and Wales. The role is to transform learning experiences for young people and support their transition into rewarding careers, including with the British Armed Forces.
Responsibilities
* Lead centre administration according to the Operational Excellence Framework (OEF) and manage weekly returns such as ICT, Registers, Bursary, Programme, Asset Return, TAM, Staff Recruitment, Welfare, Facebook, MD Memo, Quality, and FCA System.
* Ensure teacher and staff stay current with subject knowledge and attend annual professional development, including Reserve Training Camps, Look At Life events, Familiarisation with Acquaint Days, and Assessment Centres.
* Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning, using assessments to inform learners’ progress and provide timely, directed support that achieves measurable improvement.
* Plan and deliver lessons that promote physical, emotional, and vocational development, ensuring resources reflect diversity of learners’ experiences.
* Track learner work experience via the FCA in England and monitor attendance, qualifications and progression through the MPCT MIS.
* Conduct learner inductions, interview potential recruits, and maintain accurate learner records.
* Provide a safe learning environment, complying with safeguarding, prevention and health‑and‑safety policies, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
* Set and monitor individual target achievements, aiming for KPIs of 90% engagement, attendance, retention, qualifications and progression, and 40% military progression.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 3 years experience in a uniformed service (Army, Navy, Air Force).
* Military or civilian Physical Training qualification.
* Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, problem‑solving, critical thinking and leadership skills.
* Previous experience working with young people.
* GCSE Maths & English (essential).
* Knowledge of vocational qualifications or the education sector (desirable).
* Teaching qualification or experience of teaching/instruction (desirable).
