Were seeking a Lab Technician to join a global leader in manufacturing. This role sits within the Technology Resource Group, part of the R&D function, and focuses on developing innovative products and processes.
Youll work on a variety of projects, from short-term developments to long-term research initiatives, supporting the creation of advanced products.
What Were Looking For
Essential:
BTEC or HNC in a science or engineering discipline
Minimum GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science
Strong interest in science and technology
Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
Experience using Microsoft applications
Desirable:
Experience with high-vacuum systems and processes (training provided)
Background in operating and maintaining complex equipment
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain laboratory coating and ancillary equipment
Deposit thin films on glass and prepare substrates
Conduct durability tests and measure coated glass properties (optical, electrical, film thickness)
Support development and problem-solving activities in both lab and production environments
