Role Overview
We are currently looking for a maintenance engineer to join a leading chemicals company based in the Midlands. As the maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical skills to effect repairs and maintain site assets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide plant and process problem-solving skills within your area of expertise to optimise manufacturing equipment availability and minimise production downtime.
2. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal customers to ensure that work is implemented safely and promptly.
3. Attend site meetings, risk assessment studies, and review meetings as required.
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application for this exciting opportunity as the Maintenance Engineer, we are looking for the following qualifications and experience:
1. Time-served apprenticeship appropriate to the role, such as City & Guilds NVQ 3 or equivalent.
2. Understanding of engineering and SHE standards and legislation.
3. Ability to read drawings and record data accurately in both paper and digital systems.
4. Experience in a regulated industry.
