Responsibilities:
1. Act as the overall owner of Monitoring services, ensuring their reliability, availability, and quality.
2. Establish and enforce operational processes and procedures for effective use of monitoring tools.
3. Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize monitoring requirements, and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
4. Frequently review monitoring thresholds, settings and capabilities.
5. Define, implement and run controls to ensure Monitoring solutions work as expected
6. Interact with the Command Center very closely to ensure all means of monitoring and Alerting are established
7. Ensure for the alerts the Event Management process is utilized and incidents are triggered at the level expected
8. Routing rules are properly setup to ensure support teams get the correct events for their areas
9. Provide technical guidance to the team on monitoring tools and methodologies.
10. Ensure that monitoring services meet business requirements and contractual obligations.
11. Analyze Events and Incidents performance and make recommendations for service improvements.
12. Continuously improve monitoring capabilities and ensure adherence to industry best practices
13. Pro-active Monitoring analysis to detect “low signals” and execute resolution.
Your Profile
Requirements:
14. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
15. At least 5-8 years of experience in managing monitoring services in a large-scale environment.
16. Strong understanding of monitoring tools, techniques, and methodologies.
17. Hands-on experience with monitoring solutions such as Dynatrace, Nagios,SquaredUp, SolarWind ec.
18. Proficient in scripting languages such Powershell, Python, Bash, or others.
19. Familiarity with cloud computing environments and emerging trends in the industry.
20. Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
21. Ability to work collaboratively with teams across multiple locations and time zones.
22. Relevant certification such as ITIL, DevOps, or AWS/AZURE and VMWare is a plus.
