We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Social Worker to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A Prison located in London.
HMP Belmarsh is a male, maximum security prison that has a capacity for 910 inmates. Healthcare at HMP Belmarsh includes, Dentists, Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance abuse and Pharmacy.
Hours
Monday-Friday
09:00-17:00
Hours to change eventually so candidate required to be flexible and able to do 12 hour shifts.
Salary
Up to £53,000 depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Mental Health Social Worker, your responsibilities will vary. You will
* Carry out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options.
* Assess patient’s health needs and be able to risk assess use sound clinical knowledge.
* Providing advice, support and information and manage a case load of patients.
* Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference.
* Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects liaising with prescribers as required.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications Required
* SWE registered social worker
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Experience of working with patients, face to face, who have complex mental health conditions
* Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work and awareness of substance misuse
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
