Role Overview
12 month Fixed Term Contract. This role supports the delivery of Neuropsychological care to stroke and other brain injury survivors experiencing cognitive, emotional and behavioural difficulties post injury, providing interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of neuropsychological care to stroke and brain injury survivors.
* Provide interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams in community, primary care, the acute neuro rehabilitation team and other external agencies.
* Manage a caseload of patients using virtual consultation, having access to a smartphone and laptop.
* Travel independently around the county to meet strict time deadlines.
* Work in an agile manner within a multidisciplinary team, alongside Neuro Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses and Rehab Assistants.
Qualifications
* Band 5 Assistant Psychologist.
* Capacity to work under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
* Flexibility and adaptability to support service delivery across the organisation.
Work Setting
The post is based in the north of the county at City Care Centre – Peterborough, Doddington Community Hospital, Princess of Wales – Ely or North Cambridgeshire Hospital – Wisbech, with possible further coverage across the county.
Professional Development
Staff receive training through an in‑house in‑service training programme and have the opportunity to undertake a blended competency package to develop within their profession and role.
