Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver comprehensive and engaging History lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum and guidelines.
2. Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to the individual learning needs of students.
3. Assess and evaluate student progress through continuous assessment methods, including formative and summative assessments.
4. Provide timely feedback and guidance to students to support their academic and personal development.
5. Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters mutual respect and encourages students' active participation.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and review curriculum materials, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
7. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and behavior, and report any concerns to relevant stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
1. A Bachelor's degree in History/Education or a related field.
2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
3. Proven experience teaching History at a primary or secondary school level.
4. Excellent knowledge of the History curriculum and ability to create engaging lesson plans.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
6. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
7. Proficient in the use of educational technology and learning platforms.
8. A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to providing a positive learning experience for students.
9. Ability to organize and manage workload effectively, while maintaining high standards of teaching and assessment.
10. Willingness to participate in continuous professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
