Our client is a privately funded organisation operating at the intersection of financial services, technology and innovation. With strong backing from private industry and a growing national profile, they work closely with senior leaders across government, financial institutions and innovation bodies to shape the future of the sector.
Founded two years ago, the organisation has a start-up mindset with a close-knit team of 10. It’s a social, collaborative and fast-moving environment where no two days look the same.
The Role
We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to support the CEO with light touch support to the wider Leadership Team. The CEO is looking for an EA who can be a trusted partner — organised, proactive and confident managing a busy workload, collaborating with high profile stakeholder and handling lots of moving parts
Key responsibilities include:
* Full and complex diary management for the CEO, plus support to the COO and two Directors
* Coordinating meetings with high-profile stakeholders, including government ministers and board-level contacts
* Preparing agendas, attending SLT meetings and ensuring actions and follow-ups are tracked and delivered
* National and international travel coordination (when required)
* Event and meeting support
* General administrative and operational support as needed
The role will grow over time, making it ideal for someone who wants exposure to how a CEO and SLT operate, while still enjoying the core EA craft.
The Individual
This role suits someone who is:
* Adaptable, calm under pressure and happy spinning multiple plates
* Experienced in a boutique, start-up or scale-up environment (this is essential), and comfortable with ambiguity and change
* Confident supporting senior leaders and comfortable pushing back when needed in a consultative way
* Curious, quick to learn and able to adapt to a young organisation still shaping its processes
* Highly organised, detail-focused and diligent, with strong emotional intelligence
* Personable, team-oriented and with a good sense of humour
* Experience in financial services or a related industry would be helpful, but is not essential. More important is mindset, capability and attitude.
You’ll likely have 5+ years’ EA experience, and this role would suit someone who sees it as a career-building step towards supporting at CEO level, while remaining happy in a hands-on EA role.
Benefits
* Salary up to £55,000
* Cash contribution towards health insurance
* Pension scheme
* Annual discretionary bonus
* 25 days annual leave, plus office closure between Christmas and New Year
* Hybrid working with core office days Wednesday and Thursday
* Core hours 9:00–5:00
If you’re an ambitious, adaptable EA who thrives in a start-up-style environment and enjoys working closely with senior leaders, this is a rare opportunity to make a real impact in a small but influential organisation.
