Key Responsibilities
1. Start your day in store, responsible for:
* Checking your delivery routes for the day.
* Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers.
* Completing all appropriate vehicle safety checks on your van, maintaining full road compliance, health and safety.
1. Being an ambassador for the Waitrose brand on the road, with great customer service as your top priority.
2. Helping customers with their shopping and building rapport based on trust and service.
3. Supporting the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as needed.
Essential skills/experience
* Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Strong time management skills.
* Ability to cope with physical requirements (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
* Comfortable working independently, self-motivated, and adaptable.
* IT literate.
Desirable skills/experience
* Previous experience in a driving role, knowledge of chilled vehicles is a plus.
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you’ll deliver quality Waitrose products and Partner-led service directly to customers’ doors, embodying our ethos — passionate Partners serving food lovers.
When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation in a friendly, welcoming environment.
Part-time hours (16.5 hours per week) across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings, and weekends, between 06:00 - 22:00.
