Job Description Head Chef | Catering and Hospitality | Leicester | Permanent | 35 hours per week Spire Leicester Hospital, Oadby, are looking for a Head Chef to join our small and friendly catering team on a permanent basis. Job Purpose Our catering team are responsible for providing exceptional food quality for our patients and staff based on our central corporate menu. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist in the preparation, cooking and delivery of food and beverage service to patients, consultants and staff whilst providing a high-quality professional service to the customers at all times. Duties And Responsibilities To ensure the catering service provided is of exemplar standard to ensure maximum patient satisfaction levels. Ensuring the ongoing development of the catering team in achieving quality and financial targets, whilst ensuring the highest standard of food quality and hygiene are maintained in the departments. To ensure a quality food and beverage service is provided to patients, staff and visitors and a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout all areas of the hospital To effectively manage department staff, including resolving any performance issues, sickness, and ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times, Including holiday and rota management To regularly monitor and work towards meeting agreed KPI standards Carry out regular risk assessments in accordance with hospital policy. To plan and organise the catering aspects of all social and business function To ensure cost effective use of labour, equipment and materials To complete mandatory audits on a regular basis and action all requirements Who We're Looking For City & Guilds 706/1/2 or equivalent Experience of working in a fast paced environment Experience of working to high quality standards Demonstrate ability in people management to deliver a plan of activity through direct reports Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of Working Hours: 5 days per week over any 7 days. Earliest start 7am latest finish 6pm.
