Within our purpose-built state-of-the-art head office based in Thorne, Doncaster, we have a 400,000sq ft plant comprising of our manufacturing, warehousing and office facilities. A recent investment of £20m set us up for continued growth into the future, introducing a new warehouse, re-mapping the assembly route and investing in our people.
We have 5 core brands which are Novus, Sheraton, Mackintosh, Chippendale and English Rose. We manufacture a made to order true rigid kitchen which is glue and dowel, along with a ready to assemble option for our customers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Preparation of components to be painted.
* Selects and/or mixes paint according to colour scheme and specifications.
* Application of high-quality acid catalyst topcoat paint finish using spray gun.
* Spot priming and fading in small remedial works using brush work.
* Cleaning of equipment after use.
* Use of correct drying and component handling techniques to maintain quality.
* Maintenance and upkeep of general area and equipment to a high standard.
* Operation of finishing machinery including automated spray lines, sanders, and associated equipment after suitable training.
* Materials handling and stock control, liaising with the stock control department.
* Correctly recording details of activities performed including quality, stock control and production control information.
* Maintaining consistently satisfactory levels of housekeeping in the paint shop and other operational areas.
* Satisfactorily undertaking a range of production duties including loading and unloading machines, picking, packing, assembly, panel marshalling and general labouring.
* Conforming to all health and safety policies and procedures at all times and cooperating with management on safety issues.
* Operating to satisfactory levels of workmanship, accuracy, and attention to detail at all times.
* Working at an acceptable rate and confoming to work rules.
* Generating, agreeing, and implementing new initiatives that result in continuous improvements.
* Helping to train colleagues.
* Generating ideas and cooperating with management and colleagues to implement new initiatives for continuous improvement.
These duties are not exhaustive and job holders will be expected to undertake other duties within their capabilities as requested. Attendance and participation in relevant training activities deemed necessary.

Skills, knowledge and experience
* Numeracy.
* Keen eye for detail and colour matching.
* Acid Catalyst twin pack paint spraying operations.
* Understanding of Health and Safety issues, in particular relating to paint spraying activities.
* Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks subject to reasonable adjustments.
* Able to work as a team.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Trustworthy.
* Motivated and able to take instructions.
* Able to work to high standards, conform to specifications and meet deadlines.
* Assembly skills.
* Furniture finishing experience.
* Knowledge of kitchen furniture production.
* Experience of running paint spray lines and associated equipment.
* Experience of working in a similar role within the furniture industry.
* Experience of assembly, furniture production, order picking.
* Experience of working to targets and specifications.
* Experience of a working environment with ethos of Health and Safety, quality, customer service etc.
