The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishops Stortford, and St Margarets Hospital in Epping.
We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishops Stortford and Epping. Our extended catchment area incorporates a population of up to 500,000 and includes the areas of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire.

Job Overview
We have an opportunity for a new or experienced Optometrist to join the Ophthalmology team at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow. You will be required to provide optometric support to the busy Ophthalmology clinics, which run in conjunction with other departments in the hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic Optometrist with hospital and community experience who can work in an adult and paediatric extended role, carrying out a wide range of complex optometric and ophthalmological procedures.
Main Duties of the Job
* Ensure safe and effective clinical practice.

* Manage and develop the performance of the team.
* Ensure effective contribution to the delivery of the organisation's objectives.
* Undertake independently/supervised a wide range of specialty clinical services involving optometric extended roles.
