Wakefield Council is looking to recruit a hardworking and motivated Fitness Consultant to join our team at Thornes Park Stadium. As a Fitness Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering our customer journey, which includes conducting gym inductions, creating personal fitness programmes, and supporting service users in achieving their health and wellbeing goals. You will also play a vital role in the maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of the gym, ensuring that all health and safety standards are met.
A key aspect of the role is supervising the fitness suites across our facilities, ensuring that exercise is performed safely and effectively. Ideally, you will also hold qualifications and have experience in delivering group exercise classes, as this will be required across our extensive programme. Classes may include Zumba, Aqua Aerobics, Yoga, Pilates, Les Mills Body Pump/Body Combat, HIIT, studio cycling, circuit training, and boxing-based classes.

5. A genuine passion for health and fitness, alongside strong communication skills.
6. A minimum of a Level 2 Gym/Fitness Instructor qualification, endorsed by a relevant governing body such as REPS or CIMSPA.
