We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Team Leader to join our team in Wareham on a part time basis.
As a Support Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the service, with a strong focus on promoting the growth and independence of the people we support.
Working closely with the Deputy Manager, you will lead by example, modelling best practice, and providing daily support, guidance, and clear direction to your team.
A day in the life of a Support Team Leader would include:
* Supporting the smooth running of the service, ensuring we promote the growth of the people we support
* Work closely with the Registered Manager, demonstrating best practice
* Providing guidance and direction to colleagues/ new starters
* Continuously reviewing Max care plan ensuring exciting updates and progress are always recorded
* Completing medication audits
* Ordering medication when needed
* Being on call (on a rota basis)
* Managing staff spot checks
Hours: 26.5 hours per week
This would be a mixture of shifts between 8am – 10pm, Monday – Sunday.
You would be required to work alternate weekends and complete sleep ins (sleep ins come with an additional payment).
What we are looking for:
* Level 2 Social Care (or equivalent)
* Experience with Autism and working with challenging behaviour
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and other professionals
* Administration skills
* Good organisational skills
* Able to work flexible hours including sleep ins and on call shifts.
* Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
* A full UK drivers license and access to a car
