We're seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join our friendly team at Stoke Lodge Hotel, a 22-bedroom coastal family-run hotel in Stoke Fleming, Dartmouth with a restaurant, bar, and events.
As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with our Head Chef, Jordan Bartholomew to deliver exceptional dining experiences across our restaurant, bar, and events. You'll have the chance to showcase your creativity, support with menu development, and lead the kitchen team when required. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong Chef de Partie or existing Sous Chef ready to grow within a supportive, professional environment with an exciting future.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assisting in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
* Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes.
* Supervising, training, and motivating junior team members.
* Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards.
* Helping to develop seasonal menus using fresh, local ingredients.
* Deputising for the Head Chef during their absence.
What We're Looking For
* Experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen.
* A passion for fresh, seasonal cooking and attention to detail.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team.
* Good organisational skills with a calm, professional approach.
* Food hygiene certification (Level 2/3).
