About the Role of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be a vital part of the technical team, managing complex design projects from initial concept through to completion. Your responsibilities will include technical consultation, customer interaction, detailed design work, and overseeing projects during manufacturing. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:
* Lead the design of customer-specific and mission-critical projects.
* Manage and review the work of mechanical design team members.
* Conduct regular design meetings and facilitate effective communication within the team.
* Support technical strategy and resolve design challenges proactively.
* Provide engineering input during installation, commissioning, and problem-solving.
* Ensure high-quality, timely, and budget-conscious project delivery.
* Develop detailed mechanical parts, assemblies, and enclosures.
* Apply knowledge of motion systems, pneumatic components, bearings, and metal fabrication processes.
Requirements of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:
* Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Proven experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software and knowledge of SolidWorks PDM Vaults.
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles, motion types, pneumatic systems, and metal fabrication.
* Ability to assess design feasibility and resolve complex engineering challenges.
* Capable of producing operation and maintenance manuals.
