The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support children’s learning and well-being, both in the classroom and during other school activities. Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Read, Burnley Contract Type: Full-time Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour Key Responsibilities - Provide support to pupils, individually and in small groups, to help them access the curriculum. - Assist teachers with planning, preparation and classroom organisation. - Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment. - Support pupils with additional needs, promoting independence and confidence. - Contribute to the wider life of the school, including playground duties and school events. Person Specification We are looking for someone who: - Has experience of working with children (school or childcare setting desirable). - Is patient, adaptable and able to build positive relationships with children and staff. - Works well as part of a team but can also use their initiative. - Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
