We are partnered with one of the leading Microsoft IT Support companies in Cambridge and are looking to hire a confident and capable IT Support Specialist into their growing operation. The client prides itself on great response times and first-class customer service, so it is vital that you have a friendly, can‑do manner and can work well under pressure. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in resolving complex technical issues and providing exceptional IT support to their clients, both on and off-site.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and resolve escalated technical issues that could not be resolved by 1st and 2nd line support, and provide expert-level guidance to junior support staff.
* Assist with 1st and 2nd line tickets where needed to support the needs of the business.
* Travel to client sites to resolve technical issues that cannot be resolved remotely; install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network components.
* Conduct system audits and provide comprehensive reports on IT environments.
* Assist clients with IT infrastructure upgrades, migrations and new system deployments, and provide on-site training as needed.
* Learn on the job from a senior field support technician to develop on-site capabilities.
Role Details
This is a Monday to Friday position with normal office hours and a hybrid arrangement. The role involves some in‑office time in Cambridge and on-site attendance as required. You will be part of a welcoming, relaxed team of experienced IT professionals with opportunities for progression based on attitude and work ethic.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Must be able to drive.
* Microsoft Certified (or equivalent).
* Friendly, outgoing nature and strong problem‑solving skills.
