Case & Management Support Officer (Hybrid) needed in Yeovil, £12.65ph

This role is maternity cover in the Environmental Health and Licensing business support team until 31/12/2025.
There will be some on-site working required, approximately 1 day a week, initially more for training purposes, at the offices in Yeovil.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Work as part of a multi-skilled case management and service support team to deliver a wide range of statutory and non-statutory processes efficiently and effectively, providing a high-quality and continuously improving service for both internal and external customers, ensuring adequate cover during opening hours.
2. Be the first point of contact for all service requests, including processing applications, notifications, queries, and complaints, acting as case officer in line with defined procedures, ensuring customer focus. This involves case investigation, problem solving, and responding/concluding cases within statutory requirements and service standards.
3. Maintain regular contact with businesses and the public, investigating cases, offering advice, negotiating, and influencing behavior to achieve satisfactory outcomes under supervision.
4. Identify the most appropriate methodology to process various applications and resolve technical service requests, negotiating with stakeholders and seeking advice from senior officers when necessary.
5. Use experience and technical knowledge to case manage and resolve service requests supported by current legislation and procedures, exercising discretion within policy guidelines.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
