Role overview
Are you a Graduate Engineer looking to build your experience in an exciting and diverse business? If the answer is yes, then Charles Brand want to hear from you! We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in site operations, from site set up to completion. This role will commence working on Corran Ferry Crossing in Scotland, however once completed there will be other exciting projects across the UK and Ireland.
What you'll do
You will have the opportunity to get involved in some of the following areas
6. Design and development of civil engineering projects including Marine, Civil Infrastructure & Rail
7. Conduct site visits and investigations
8. Prepare technical reports, drawings and specifications using CAD software
9. Support Project Managers in planning, budgeting and scheduling tasks
10. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and quality regulations
11. Collaborate with architects, surveyors and contractors to ensure project success
12. Monitor construction progress and provide technical support on site
13. Analyse data and provide recommendations for engineering solutions
What you’ll bring
To succeed as a Graduate Engineer, you will have;
14. Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management or other relevant area
15. Minimum of 40 weeks work experience within Civil Engineering or Construction
16. Full driving license, permitting driving within the UK/Ireland
17. Flexibility to travel to sites
18. Confidence with IT, including MS Office packages
It would also be desirable to have;
19. CSR, CSCS or Safe Pass card/certificate
20. Working knowledge of AutoCAD
