The Role:
Joining our Hampshire Outdoors service as a Senior PE advisor, you will support the development of high‑quality Physical Activity, Physical Education and School Sport (PESSPA) across the region, helping children and young people access safe, engaging, and impactful physical activity opportunities.
Working within a supportive team, you will use your teaching experience and passion for PESSPA to deliver and develop effective programmes, support professional development, and uphold strong standards in safeguarding and quality practice. Based in Winchester with regular regional travel, this is a rewarding role for someone enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to inclusion and positive outcomes for children and young people.
What you’ll do:
* Deliver high-quality PESSPA training and CPD to teachers and school leaders.
* Provide accredited training and complete internal quality assurance activities.
* Support the delivery of the annual PE Conference for primary and secondary colleagues.
* Maintain quality standards and provide health and safety guidance across PESSPA programmes.
* Monitor activity, maintain records, and report on participation and impact.
* Identify funding opportunities and report on programme progress to the Development Manager.
What we’re looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), including Physical Education or equivalent, and a commitment to high‑quality PESSPA.
* Experience in teaching a wide range of PESSPA activities to primary and secondary pupils.
* Experience delivering PESSPA training and CPD, including lesson observation and quality assurance.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety and safeguarding in physical activity settings.
* Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, with a commitment to inclusion and teamwork.

Travel Requirements:
You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight or other local authority, and it is essential that you have a current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
