Head of Accounting | High-Growth PE-Backed SaaS | £100–110k plus Bonus

I'm currently working with a high-growth, PE-backed SaaS business who are looking to appoint a Head of Accounting at a critical stage of international scale. This is a senior leadership role with broad ownership across group reporting, controls and accounting operations, working closely with the FD, CFO and wider leadership team.
This role suits an ACA qualified, practice-trained accountant who enjoys building robust finance foundations in fast-moving, investor-backed environments.
The Role
As Head of Accounting, you will lead the controllership function across multiple international entities, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls and scalable processes as the business continues to grow.
You will:
* Own group, statutory and local entity reporting under IFRS and relevant local GAAPs
* Lead and develop the accounting team, managing 4+ direct reports
* Oversee month-end close, consolidations and audit processes across international entities
* Act as the technical accounting lead across revenue recognition, acquisitions, equity and complex judgments
* Partner with the Group FD on board reporting, investor requirements and PE-related deliverables
* Drive continuous improvement across systems, controls and accounting processes
* Support M&A activity, integration and finance transformation initiatives
* Work closely with Tax, FP&A and senior stakeholders across the business
What were looking for:
We are looking for someone with strong technical depth and leadership capability:
* ACA qualified with practice training, ideally Big 4 or top tier
* 5+ years post qualification experience, including time in a high-growth international business
* Strong background in group reporting, consolidation and technical accounting
* Proven people manager with experience leading teams of 4 or more
* Comfortable operating in PE-backed, fast-paced environments
* Confident communicator with senior stakeholders and external advisors
* Motivated by building scalable finance functions and improving how things work
