Role: SEN Teacher (Intervention & Sensory Room)
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Hours: Monday–Friday (8:30-3:30)
Pay: M3 - UPS3 Fringe payscale
We are working with a supportive primary school in Hemel Hempstead (HP2) who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their intervention and sensory provision. This is a full‑time, immediate start role supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a calm, structured, out‑of‑class environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach small groups (max 8 pupils) within the school’s intervention & sensory room
* Deliver targeted support for pupils with ASD; SEMH needs; ADHD and Non‑verbal communication needs
* Lead a mixture of intervention groups and some 1:1 sessions
* Create a calm, nurturing, sensory‑friendly learning environment
* Plan differentiated lessons tailored to a wide range of needs
* Liaise regularly with class teachers and the SENCO
* Work alongside a dedicated TA at all times
About You:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong classroom or specialist SEND teaching experience
* Confident supporting pupils with a variety of needs and communication profiles
* Patient, nurturing, and skilled at building positive relationships
* Comfortable working in a personalised, out‑of‑class environment
* Available to start immediately
